Summer, Rodrigo
30 × 40 in. | Acrylic on canvas
Inspired by a photograph taken at a summer pool party with friends, Summer, Rodrigo captures a familiar moment through Lane’s bold, graphic interpretation. Rodrigo, a close friend, is rendered in a warm, saturated palette of coral, red, orange, gold, pink, and deep earth tones, contrasted by cooler blues and greens in the background. Lane simplifies the figure into angular planes of color, transforming an informal summer memory into a confident, contemporary portrait that feels both personal and larger than life.
