Lane Ross-Sheffield is a contemporary artist based in Dallas, Texas, creating bold abstract and figurative work shaped by color, composition and personal storytelling.
Originally from Mount Pleasant, Texas, Lane’s creative instincts appeared early. Largely self-taught as a painter, he also studied design at the University of North Texas. His background in interiors, visual merchandising and gallery ownership continues to influence how he approaches scale, color and the relationship between a work of art and the space around it.
Lane’s perspective has been shaped by his Choctaw heritage, a childhood surrounded by rodeo culture and several years living in New Orleans. His artistic influences include Pablo Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, F.N. Souza and Oscar Howe.
Original works by Lane are available exclusively through LRS Gallery. He is also accepting select private commissions.
