ARTWORK OWNERSHIP AND COPYRIGHT
Ownership of Physical Artwork
After full payment has been received, the buyer owns the physical artwork purchased from LRS Gallery.
The buyer may display, gift or resell the physical artwork, subject to applicable law and any separate written agreement.
Copyright and Reproduction Rights
The sale of a physical artwork does not transfer the copyright or any reproduction, licensing, publishing, merchandising, digital, advertising or commercial-use rights.
All copyright and intellectual-property rights in artwork created by Lane Ross-Sheffield remain with Lane Ross-Sheffield unless expressly transferred or licensed through a separate written agreement.
Without prior written authorization, artwork may not be:
• Reproduced as prints or other products
• Used in advertising, branding or packaging
• Licensed to another person or business
• Used to create merchandise
• Used commercially online or in print
• Converted into an NFT or other digital asset
• Used to create derivative commercial works
• Used for artificial-intelligence training or dataset development
Personal Display and Sharing
A buyer may photograph and share the artwork for personal, noncommercial purposes. Attribution to Lane Ross-Sheffield and LRS Gallery is appreciated whenever the work is shared publicly.
Artist and Gallery Use
Lane Ross-Sheffield and LRS Gallery retain the right to photograph, reproduce and display images of artwork for portfolios, websites, social media, exhibitions, advertising, publications, archives and other artistic or promotional purposes.
For commissioned artwork, LRS Gallery will honor an agreed written date before publicly posting the completed work.
Licensing and Commercial Use
Requests for reproduction, licensing, publishing or commercial-use rights must be negotiated separately with Lane Ross-Sheffield or his authorized representative, Eric Ross-Sheffield.
No license or transfer of intellectual-property rights is valid unless it is confirmed in a written agreement signed by the artist or an authorized representative.
